Sports Cars / Movie Theme This gentleman came to me with several ideas. He loves cars, specifically the Nissan M-24 which we put as the ends of each cross bar. The border of the body of the cross is a filmstrip because he really likes movies. The center of the cross is a simple circle that represents his circle of friends. If you look closely at the circle you will see a small dome with to “arms”. This is repeated around the outside of the circle with the idea that his friends are surrounding him. The center of the filmstrip has a random geometric pattern that is unfinished as he has not yet decided what his true finished life will be. He is a work in progress.

Golf Theme This cross was made for a man who goes by the name Trey. That is significant because he is the 3rd. Trey is not his real name. The spires of the cross are 4 golf tees. The top tee has the flag of the first hole. It is mirrored to have the look of an arrow to symbolize “one way.” Also, the first hole is important because it sets the tone for the rest of the game, Just as life. The center of the cross has a triangle shape that represents 3 things, Trey due to its 3 points, he also likes geometric shapes, & lastly The Father, The Son, & The Holy Spirit.

The life cross originated after a customer came to me and wanted a “big cross.” I asked if he wanted something that everyone else had or if he wanted something that was personal to him. He asked what I meant. I told him I could sell him a cross from a catalog or make a one of a kind cross that reflected his life. He became very interested and after several sketches, I was able to capture his life in a cross. He was a well traveled gentleman and whenever he came back to town he would drop by with excitement and regale me with stories of how many times he was asked about his cross. I started thinking—What a ministry, to be able to make a beautiful piece of jewelry for a customer that opens the door to share what Christ has done in their life.
